floaty eyeball things, being watched-over from a rocky promontory.
not so much a 'meeting doodle', but rather a 'sitting at my desk twiddling my thumbs doodle'. . . or maybe even 'sitting at my desk twiddling my thumbs, reaching for the post-it pad, unzipping my bag to find my highlighters doodle'
whatever, quite like it anyway - i must like it, i was clearly moved to make an appalling joke on this one.
what else am i expected to do when excel freezes-up on you, and stops your computer responding to your keystrokes, mouse gestures and threats of violence ?
listen, stop bleating on about my bloody virtual memory running out and run my sodding macro, will you ???
so anyway, due to popular demand we have the return of the 'startled opera singer' (may 2nd's post)
if i remember rightly this started as something like the great inventor (mel brooks') character in 'robots'; then it seemed important to have a little ridged neck, finished-off with a pair of little bats wings and some antennae.
hey, i've never maintained that there be any logic to these things !
all in all not so great, although the cross-hatching did keep me amused for a little while.
i do like this one, again it's from the 3hour session the other day.
i always reach a point, during one of these long meetings, when i start to wonder 'do they all think i'm furiously busy taking notes from this meeting, or do they realise i'm just doodling away?'
the former lends me the cloak of intelligence, rigour and conscientiousness; the latter reveals me for the scribbling buffoon that i truly am.
i like this one, though. tentacles again, a bit of a recurring theme for me of late.
this is the first hamster to appear in my margins; inspired - no doubt - by little j's mini hamster 'scratchy'.
this doodle is one of several produced the other day, during a 3 hour meeting to review, challenge & discuss the hundred or so page document that they're scribbled on.
yes, there are a few things happening here, we appear to have some silhouetted mountaineers scaling the east face of a summary table of benefits, whilst a generic office-worker appears to be confused by something (maybe what he's seen through the wall of his office ?)
and we also have the first appearance of a 'super-flasher' accosting someone as they descend a staircase.
oh yes, it was a meeting that was blissfully free of anything either useful or conclusive for those present.
i enjoyed myself, though; that has to count for something!
So now it's your turn.
Any comments, interpretations etc. relating to my doodles would we great, but better still would be to see YOUR meeting doodles. See it as a graphic record of meeting boredom across the global village of the web.
