a sentient stalagmite ?yes, he might indeed.
so it's up to generic mini-superheroes to save the day from this subterranean menace.
...to be fair, it doesn't look that menacing to me, maybe i'm just trying to inject some level of excitement into a slightly lackluster margin-filler?
poor supes...
he appears to be trapped in some sort of confinement bubble.
...so what do we know?
1. the bubble appears to be controlled by the strange, smiley, decapitated-head creatures;
2. the bubble is uncharacteristically impervious to the localised shower of pins that surrounds it (either that or my shading method became a little rococo, and broke the third wall)
3. there appears to be another super-person hanging from a balloon !!!
4. i definitely had too much time on my hands in this meeting.
... i like the bubble though.
(keep on doodling superman, though; ego-problems, anyone?)
behind you, superman...
it was a week or so ago, but i do believe this was a 'phone doodle, with a little highlighter flourish at the end for colour.
is this me?
am i floating along oblivious to something large and threatening behind me?
is it better for me not to turn around in this situation?
a driller-robot superhero battle was underway during the early stages of yesterday's first meeting.
by this point i gather that people sitting behind me in the lecture theatre were paying a little more attention to my doodles than i had realised.
at the end of this meeting i decided that i'd try to avoid my old staples of robots, tentacles, superheroes and rocket ships.
watch this space to see how successful i was at this goal...
mountaineers abound !
yes, there are a few things happening here, we appear to have some silhouetted mountaineers scaling the east face of a summary table of benefits, whilst a generic office-worker appears to be confused by something (maybe what he's seen through the wall of his office ?)
and we also have the first appearance of a 'super-flasher' accosting someone as they descend a staircase.
oh yes, it was a meeting that was blissfully free of anything either useful or conclusive for those present.
i enjoyed myself, though; that has to count for something!
plastercene monster battle
..the three-legged alien was a plastercene figure that j and i collaborated on at the weekend.
and so it appears in a monday-morning doodle.
and a little crime-fighting team were also seen racing across the agenda heading...
no doubt to hep batman and robin with their endeavours down on the apologies line...
superhero vs tentacle creature
sufficed to say that this is one of a several doodles from a very VERY dull training session that i attended yesterday.
it might even be worth a click on the image to see the frustration in the penstrokes !!
another floral affair, some little superheroes and an odd stripey crocodile.
just another day in the office.
a superhero battle raging in the margins of my oh-so-riveting schedule printout.
this is a lovely introduction to the lovely new pen given to me by the lovely lady s; in actual fact it's one of her cast-offs, but it'll do nicely thank you. very nice to write and, more importantly doodle, with.
it's a uniball signo 0.7 for anyone who's interested in that kind of thing.
and, of course, every highlighter colour that i could find in the pathetic metal cabinet that passes for a stationery cupboard in my office.
hmm, note to self, 'must do horizontal doodles, must do horizontal doodles, must do horizontal doodles' .
horizontal doodle = less of my inane verbiage
some kind of superhero search party
five minutes, a post-it and some highlighters later and look what a bored office worker can produce.
the 'superheroes in the middle-distance, looking on' theme seems to be developing, along with the old favourites of rocket ships and robots...
superpotato !
...in a galaxy far far away, a planetoid inhabited by spud-like superhero figures looks on.
dumpy superheroes, there aren't enough of them are there ?
you might recognise these guys; they kept me company during a three hour snore-fest which improved dramatically during the last hour ... but that may have had something to do with the arrival of the sandwich & crisp platters.
